Respecting the days of Selichot.
We will walk through the winding alleys and picturesque neighborhoods of Nachlaot. In the 1860s, Nachlaot and Yemin Moshe were the first neighborhoods to be settled outside the Old City walls.
We will participate in Selichot services in one of the unique neighborhood synagogues and participate in the musical traditions of this holiday, with songs of atonement accompanied by a stringed instrument commonly used in the Middle East called an Oud. We will conclude the tour with a visit to the Or-HaChayim Beit Midrash, where Selichot services go on well after midnight.
