Safed is the famous “City of Kabbalah” and is found at the foot of Mount Meron. Here we will visit the ancient synagogues and picturesque alleyways of this mystical northern town, and hear of how a small platoon of Jewish soldiers managed to conquer Tzfat during the Israeli War of Independence.
One of the first Jewish settlements during the “First Alya” (the large wave of Jews that migrated to Palestine between 1882-1903; there were 5 such waves in total). It was founded by a group of young zionists who left Safed to found Ja’ouni. We’ll walk along charming streets and see, among other things, a synagogue donated by the Baron Rothschild, the first hotel in the Galilee region, and the house of Prof. Mar, who found a cure for Malaria.
Bordering with Lebanon, this site offers an interesting diversion with a tour of the natural grottos. We will also hear tales of the railway that once connected Lebanon and Israel.

With its numerous waterways, including the Dan River which contributes half of the water in the Jordan River, this gem lies adjacent to an ancient Hebrew city of the same name. There is an altar there that dates back to the time of the First Temple, to the period of the rule of King Yerob’am.
